Teach. Learn. Create. (TLC) was founded by Dr. Laurie J. Kemp, an educator with more than 25 years of experience in public, private, and non-traditional schools.

Throughout her career, one truth has become clear: education is a personal experience, and every learner brings a unique set of needs, interests, and goals. Today’s students and families want flexibility and creative options, and Laurie founded TLC to offer the Southwest Florida community a menu of services for creative learning and creative living.

Laurie has taught learners of all ages from elementary through high school, and is an adjunct instructor at FGCU. She has extensive experience working with non traditional learners in various settings. Whether working with children or adult learners, she prides herself on getting to know her students’ interests to ensure learning is meaningful, productive, and fun.

Dr. Kemp holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Miami, a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Central Florida, and a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from Florida Gulf Coast University.
